Open Forum II <br /> No one appeared under open forum. I <br /> 5. Presentations '', <br /> 5.1. Trailside Park Desic�n Review Uqdate � <br /> Luke Sydow from SAS+ Associates gave an update on the Trailside Park <br /> design. He stated they are on schedule with the site design at <br /> approximately 65%. He is working with Tim Houle to coordinate with the <br /> East Sibley Street and utility projects and recently met with a small group <br /> of interested individuals to discuss the location of the Veteran's Memorial <br /> and its paver system. <br /> 6. Plannin� and Zonin� <br /> 6.1. Planninc� Commission Report <br /> The January 29, 2018 Planning Commission Report and January 18, 2018 <br /> draft Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment Meeting minutes were <br /> received by Council. <br /> 6.2. Rental Property Ordinance <br /> Dawn Bittner explained the Planning Commission had reviewed several <br /> ordinances and excerpts from other cities that pertain to crime free/drug <br /> free rental housing. After review, the consensus of the Planning <br /> Commission was to not pursue a Rental Property Ordinance. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AFFIRM THE PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION'S DECISION TO NOT PURSUE A RENTAL PROPERTY <br /> ORDINANCE. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. <br /> Mayor Adams thanked the Planning Commission for reviewing the rental <br /> property ordinances of other cities. <br /> Council Member Swanson inquired if this is the first time this topic has <br /> been researched. Dawn Bittner confirmed it was and further explained <br /> that a lot of time was spent in researching this issue. <br />
