City Council Minutes <br />April 6, 2010 <br />Page 10 of 10 <br />The City Clerk noted that the City recently amended its liquor ordinance to <br />allow a process to license special events outside of a liquor establishment. <br />She noted that an application form has been drafted and suggested that <br />the City charge $25.00 per event. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE A $25.00 <br />EVENT LICENSE FEE FOR A TEMPORARY EXPANSION PREMISE <br />LICENSE. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />11.5. Request for Speed Studv <br />The Clerk explained that MnDOT has responded to the City's letter of <br />request for a speed study on TH 371 near the new SuperValu store. <br />MnDOT has stated that a preliminary speed study has been done and that <br />lowering the speed limit at this time is not feasible. The letter also stated <br />that a final speed study would be conducted when the development is <br />open to traffic. <br />12. Other Business <br />`— Council Member Malecha stated that she has been accused as using her <br />position as a council member in the community to assist in the upgrading <br />and marketing of the Jack Pine Center. She asked the Council if they felt <br />what she was doing was a conflict of interest. She stated that she has not <br />used city resources on the project. It was the consensus of the Council <br />that there was no conflict of interest. Council Member Ryan stated that <br />although he does not feel there is a conflict of interest, there could be a <br />perception of a conflict just because she is a Council Member. <br />13. Adjournment <br />There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED <br />TO ADJOURN. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE <br />MOTION.
