Peq�ot Lakes Police �onthsy Repo�� <br /> Januarv 2018: <br /> During the month of January (15t-31�),the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a record of 240 calls for <br /> service. Call types include but are not limited to: <br /> • Agency Assist <br /> • Animal Complaint <br /> • Burglary <br /> • Domestic <br /> • Gun Permits <br /> • Harassing Communications <br /> • Missing Persons <br /> • Motorist Assist <br /> • Property Damage Accident <br /> • Welfare Check <br /> Notable calls: <br /> On 1/7/2018, Officer Matt Jorgens had three arrests within a few hours of each other.The first arrest was at <br /> 12:17am for 4th degree DWI. The second and third arrests were at 3:58am; one passenger on his traffic stop <br /> was arrested for felony conditions of probation release and the other passenger was arrested for St" degree <br /> drug possession. The driver was cited for driving after suspension. <br /> On 1/10/2018, OfFicer Matt Jorgens was on routine patrol when he conducted a trafFic stop on a vehicle for <br /> speeding, a headlight out and expired registration. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, he <br /> noted a strong smell of marijuana.The driver consented to a search of the vehicle. Inside, Officer Jorgens <br /> located nearly 70 grams of marijuana, various pieces of drug paraphernalia, open bottle of alcohol and over <br /> $800 cash. The driver was arrested on a felony amount of narcotics. The cash and vehicle she was driving is <br /> pending forfeiture. <br /> On 1/22/2018, Officer Sheri Fyle stopped a vehicle for speeding and reckless driving(crossing the fog line, <br /> changing lanes without signaling and almost hitting another vehicle on an exit ramp). Assisting Officer Fyle was <br /> a DNR officer,who stood by the vehicle while she was filling out paperwork in her squad when the DNR officer <br /> asked the driver to step out of the vehicle. He advised OfFicer Fyle that he witnessed the driver place a glass <br /> pipe into the center console. Upon questioning,the driver admitted to OfFicer Fyle that she had smoked <br /> methamphetamines a few hours prior. The female was ultimately arrested for 4t"degree DWI and possession <br /> of drug paraphernalia. <br /> On 1/25/2018, Officer Matt Jorgens conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speed and failure to stop at a stop <br /> sign. When speaking with the driver, he noted the smell of alcohol and observed her to have bloodshot watery <br /> eyes and slurred speech. OfFicer Jorgens had her exit the vehicle for field sobriety testing and administered a <br /> PBT(Preliminary Breath Test).The driver was arrested for gross misdemeanor DWI and the vehicle is pending <br /> forfeiture. <br />
