<br /> The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows:
<br /> Pur�ose and Intent: The purpose and intent of this ordinance is to amend Chapter
<br /> 1�of the Pequot Lakes City Code regarding fence height in the Urban Residential and
<br /> Downtown Mixed Use zoning classifications.
<br /> Amendment: Chapter i�, Article 5.9 shall be amended as follows:
<br /> Section ��-5.9 URBAN RESIDENTIAL (UR)
<br /> C. Fences. Fences not exceeding 48 inches ma��be constructed
<br /> bet��-een the dwellin�fa�ade and the front property�line. Dwelling
<br /> fa�ade shall not include decks, entry ways, porches, and other
<br /> building�rojections from the principal face of the dwelling. Fences
<br /> not exceeding 72 inches in height mav be constructed from the
<br /> dw-elling fa�ade to the side ��ard and to the rear ti�ard of a�ro�ertv.

<br /> circumstances shall a fence be constructed closer than io feet from
<br /> the surface of a public road and in all cases not within the public
<br /> right-of-way. Materials shall consist of usual fencing materials with
<br /> posts and fence of inetal, wood, concrete, brick or smooth wire.
<br /> Barbed or electrified wire is prohibited, except where specific
<br /> approval has been given by the Planning Commission.
<br /> Amendment: Chapter i�, Article 5.i2 shall be amended as follows:
<br /> Section 1�-5.12 DOWNTOWN MIXED USE (DMU)
<br /> D. Fences. Fences not exceeding 48 inches may be constructed
<br /> between the dwelling fa�ade and the front property line. Dwelling
<br /> fa�ade shall not include decks, entrv wa,�porches, and other
<br /> building�rojections from the�rinci�al face of the dwelling. Fences
<br /> not exceeding �2 inches in hei h� t may be constructed from the
<br /> dwelling fa�ade to the side vard and to the rear yard of a propertv.
