Schematic DesiAns for Potential Develoqment South of Business Park I, <br /> Mike Rude, Mike Angland and Chad Conner from Widseth Smith Nolting <br /> presented four schematic design layouts for potential development south , <br /> of the business park. �, <br /> Commission discussion ensued regarding the four layouts presented; <br /> possible uses for this area which may include ball fields, hotel, and office <br /> complex; road layouts; visual exposure; safety; utilities and storm water <br /> retention. <br /> Nancy Malecha asked Justin Burslie to take these concepts to the next <br /> Planning Commission Meeting for their input and she will discuss the <br /> concepts with the Public Works Supervisor. �I <br /> Chris Lindholm will discuss the ball field concept with the School Board <br /> Members. Mr. Lindholm stated the Board Members will likely want to <br /> meet with the City and the Council regarding the ownership and <br /> maintenance of the ball fields. <br /> The consensus of the Commission agreed to set up a meeting to include, � <br /> Mayor Adams, Nancy Malecha, members of the School Board, and <br /> members of the City Council to discuss the schematic designs and to also <br /> gather feedback from the Planning Commission and Public Works <br /> Supervisor to bring to the March EDC meeting. <br /> 6. Collaborative Communication Director Position <br /> Nancy Malecha presented an update on the Collaborative Communication <br /> Director Position and highlighted the job duties of this position. <br /> 7. Contribution Request from Pequot Lakes Chamber <br /> Nancy Malecha explained the request from the Pequot Lakes Chamber for <br /> an annual contribution of$1,000 for its assistance in promoting the <br /> community of Pequot Lakes. <br /> Chair Jurchen stated this amount of money would not go far if the City <br /> would market on their own. The consensus of the Commission agreed <br /> that this would benefit the City to partner with the Chamber in their <br /> marketing efforts. <br />
