<br /> Background Information: The applicant is requesting a Variance to
<br /> construct a new dwelling in the Shoreline Residential District. The subject
<br /> property is located at 2�623 County Road io�, is zoned Shoreline Residential and
<br /> is owned by the applicant. The surrounding property is zoned Shoreline
<br /> Residential to the north and south and Forest Management to the east.
<br /> The applicant proposes to remove the existing dwelling, garage, shed, and
<br /> concrete pavers. The existing dwelling is 45 feet from the Ordinary Highwater
<br /> Mark(OHW) of East Twin Lake and is i,632 square feet in size.
<br /> The applicant proposes to construct a new dwelling 65 feet from the OHW, with
<br /> the proposed deck measuring 55 feet from the OHW. The setback from the OHW
<br /> on East Twin Lake is 75 feet. The proposed dwelling is 1,6i4 square feet, the deck
<br /> is 734 square feet and the proposed garage is i,2oo square feet.
<br /> Applicant proposes to construct a 6i2 square foot second story on the south end
<br /> of the dwelling, as well as a 9-course crawlspace to house mechanical components
<br /> and storage.
<br /> Applicant states there is a large stand of White Pine and Norway trees at the 75-
<br /> foot setback. Constructing the new dwelling at the 75-foot setback would involve
