Peterson � PIN: 29o2�i1ooAAAoo9 Dear Mrs. Hidde: This letter is to inform you that the public hearing for the rezoning of the above- ' captioned properry will be held at the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting on Thursday, February i5, 2018. The Public Hearings begin at 6:0o p.m. at City Hall. You have requested to rezone the property from Forest Management to Commercial and Rural Residential as described in the City Code. The purpose and intent of the Commercial classification is to provide a zoning classification for commercial uses oriented around the automobile. Parcels are larger than those in the Downtown Mixed Use zone in order to provide on-site parking, on-site stormwater facilities as well as on- site water supply and sewage treatment where municipal utilities are not immediately available. The purpose and intent of the Rural Residential classification is to provide a zoning classification that allows for low-density residential development. Development in this zone is without municipal utility service and with only limited demand for accessibility. Rural Residential zoning should be used to preserve rural character. For a rezoning,the Commission holds a hearing to review your rezone request and then make a recommendation to the City Council. The City Council then makes the final decision. City Staff prepares a Staff Report each month for all of the hearings.
