City Council Minutes <br /> December 5, 2017 <br /> Page 6 of 13 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 17- <br /> 41 APPROVING STATE OF MINNESOTA JOINT POWERS <br /> AGREEMENTS WITH THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES ON BEHALF OF <br /> ITS CITY ATTORNEY AND POLICE DEPARTMENT AND COURT DATA <br /> SERVICES SUBSCRIBER AMENDMENT TO CJDN SUBSCRIBER <br /> AGREEMENT. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> Council Member Pederson asked for clarification whether the County will <br /> be involved in this process and wanted to verify that the authority will lie <br /> with Chief Klang and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Sergeant <br /> Turcotte explained there is a separate agreement between the County and <br /> the City. <br /> 9. Public Works <br /> 9.1. Trailside Park Design Review <br /> • Multi-Pumose Buildinq <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the design options presented and <br /> vote tallies from the Trailside Park Open House. Mayor Adams stated that <br /> the architect and the Park Commission worked hard on these designs and <br /> the Council should allow them to do what they were asked to do. <br /> Council Member Pederson suggested that Council Members should have <br /> been at the Park Commission meeting since they are the decision makers. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO ACCEPT PERSPECTIVE <br /> OPTION A WITH FLOOR PLAN B, NO EXTERIOR RESTROOM <br /> DOORS, LOW MAINTENANCE, HIGH DURABILITY, AND INCLUDE <br /> GARAGE DOORS. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-2. COUNCIL MEMBERS AKERSON <br /> AND PEDERSON OPPOSED. <br /> • Pond <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO ACCEPT THE FOUR FOOT <br /> DEEP POND OPTION WITH AERATION FEATURE. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Tom Nelson stated that due to public safety the Fire Department as a <br /> whole is against any standing water where kids will be playing. <br />
