6. Horizonta.l and vertical alignment sha11 be coordinated. Centerline grades shall not <br /> exceed 15 percent,unless extenuating circumstances dictate a steeper grade, and <br /> centerline grades shall not be constructed flatter than 0.5 percent wherever possible. <br /> Sharp curves shall not result at the crest or the foot of a steep grade. <br /> 7. The roadway surface will be constructed with a minimum of four inches (4") Class 5 after <br /> compaction. A bituminous surface according to MN DOT specification#2340 shall be <br /> two inches (2")thick after compaction on residential streets. The bituminous thickness <br /> shall be a minimum of two and one-half inches (2 1/2") after compaction for collector <br /> streets. The bituminous thickness will be reviewed with each application of new street <br /> construction by City personnel. <br /> 8. All graded areas as a result of road construction shall be protected from erosion to <br /> prevent destruction of the roadbed. Topsoil and seeding shall be considered, as required, <br /> to prevent erosion.
