<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, ARTICLE 7 OF THE CITY CODE
<br /> REGARDING SELLING, GNING AWAY, OWNING, POSSESSING AND DISCHARGE
<br /> OF WEAPONS AND EXPLOSIVES WITHIN THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES
<br /> COUNTY OF CROW WING
<br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA
<br /> The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows:
<br /> Purpose and Intent: The purpose of this ordinance amendment is to amend Chapter 9 of the
<br /> Pequot Lakes City Code regarding the selling, giving away, owning, possessing and discharge of
<br /> weapons and explosives within the City of Pequot Lakes.
<br /> Amendment: Chapter 9, Article 7 shall be amended as follows.
<br /> Section 9-7.1. STATE LAW REFERENCE
<br /> Local regulation relating to the selling, giving away, owning,possessing and discharge of
<br /> weapons and explosives within the City of Pequot Lakes shall be in compliance with Minn. Stat.
<br /> c. 624 and Minn. Stat. § 471.633 and 471.635.
<br /> Section 9-7.2. INCORPORATION OF STATE LAW
<br /> The provisions of Minn. Stat. c. 97B. as amended, arc incorporated herein by reference.
<br /> Section 9-7.3�. DEFINITIONS.
<br /> For purposes of this Chapter, the following terms shall have the following meaning, unless the
<br /> context clearly indicates otherwise.

<br /> am� firearnl, whether loaded or unloaded, or any device designed as a weapon and
<br /> capable of producing death or great bodily harm, any combustible or flammable
<br /> liquid or other device or instrumentality that, in the manner it is used or intended
<br /> to be used, is calculated or likely to produce death or great bodily harm, or any
<br /> fire that is used to produce death or great bodily harm.
<br /> Dangerous weapon includes the following.
<br /> A. All tirearms, whether loaded ar unloaded;
