Planning and Zoning Department <br /> Year End Review <br /> �i�hlights for ��1�; <br /> Ordinance Amendment — Transition Residential Zone. The City Code was amended <br /> reducing the minimum lot width and minimum lot size. <br /> Ordinance Amendment — Wetland Setback. The City Code was amended to include <br /> a 3o-foot setback from a wetland in all zoning classifications. <br /> Future Land Use Map — The Planning Commission was directed to review the Future <br /> Land Use Map as it relates to the new alignment of State Highway 37i. The Integrated <br /> Growth Plan in the Comprehensive Plan was amended to include revisions to the Future <br /> Land Use Map. <br /> State Building Code — The Planning Commission was directed to revisit adoption of <br /> the State Building Code and recommended 4 — 3 the City not adopt the State Building <br /> Code. The City Council concurred. <br /> Ordinance Amendment — Public Zone. The City Code was amended to include a <br /> Public Zoning Classification. <br /> Ordinance Amendment — Floodplain Ordinance. The City Code was amended to <br /> include floodplain management regulations required by the Federal Emergency <br /> Management Agency. <br /> Trail Blazing Signs — The City Council directed the Planning Commission to review <br /> the Land Use Ordinance and develop a plan for directional service signs along Patriot <br /> Avenue. A Policy Outlining Standards for Trailblazing Signs was developed. <br /> Porous Asphalt — The Planning Commission considered allo��ing porous asphalt <br /> which could become impervious if not maintained properly. The consensus was to <br /> continue to now allow it except by Variance approval. <br /> Ordinance Amendment — Fence Height.
