Quality of Life Task Force - Update <br /> Nancy Malecha stated the Quality of Life Task Force is working on the "Hike, <br /> Bike, Ski Pequot" Project, which they want to create an online app for trails in the <br /> area. The task force is in the 2"d phase of applying for the $20,000 Bernick <br /> Foundation Grant. <br /> 6. Roundabouts Landscapinct - Update <br /> Chair Ronning, Commissioners Sjoblad and Graham met with Todd Carol from <br /> MnDOT to discuss plans for the roundabouts. Todd Carol will get back to the <br /> committee by mid-December with a preliminary plan. <br /> 7. Skate Park Update <br /> Chair Ronning contacted Spohn Ranch in California which is the largest <br /> builder/designer of skate parks in the United States. Chair Ronning spoke to a <br /> gentleman at Spohn Ranch to produce a conceptual design for the $1,500 that <br /> we received from the grant. This design is not a biddable plan. Depending on <br /> � size of area the biddable plan is $7,500 to $20,000. He stated that with a <br /> community our size we may need to scale down from 100x100 to 75x75 area. <br /> Spohn Ranch employees will be available to assist with fundraising efforts also. <br /> 8. Temporarv Skate Park Update <br /> Chair Ronning stated that because of the park renovation, the Bobber Park <br /> temporary location is not an option any longer. Mayor Adams stated that a couple <br /> of the Council members will talk to TDS regarding using the south part of their <br /> parking lot for a temporary site and possible permanent site. <br /> 9. Bands in the Park <br /> Commission discussed and decided to schedule Decade 7 on July 7th and Dos <br /> Guys on July 14th, 2018. <br /> 10. Bike Rental — Update <br /> Chair Ronning, Laura Leckband, Dawn Bittner and Nancy Malecha met after the <br /> last Park Commission meeting. Laura would really like for this bike rental to <br /> happen, however, she is too busy to spearhead this project. Nancy Malecha <br /> stated that the Quality of Life Task Force is actually looking into this project. <br /> ,� Nancy contacted Brian Wallin regarding the project and he did give her some <br /> feedback. Nancy will speak with the Chamber of Commerce to see if they would <br />
