Park Commission Minutes <br /> June 8, 2017 <br /> Page 2 <br /> � ------------------------- <br /> 6. Art in the Park <br /> Dawn Bittner reported that the minutes from the November 2016 meeting stated <br /> that art be posted on both sides of the posts, however, as of now art is only on <br /> one side. Mayor Adams will contact Molly Wiste regarding turning in the liability <br /> form and the placement of art on both sides of posts. Mayor Adams requested <br /> Dawn Bittner to order a brochure holder. Mike Loven has concerns about <br /> snowmobilers hitting the posts after art is taken down. <br /> 7. Shrub Replacement <br /> Mike reported (2) 12x12 flower beds by Trailside Park sign and band shell have <br /> died. The dead plants have been removed and both beds have been mulched. <br /> The decision was made to leave both beds alone until 2018. <br /> 8. Other Business <br /> Chair Ronning wanted to report that the Mayor received a letter from Tasha <br /> Lauer, District Coordinator for the Crow Wing County Soil and Water <br /> Conservation District. Sibley Lake Association and City of Pequot Lakes will <br /> receive the 2017 Shoreland Stewardship Award for the Sibley Lake Park <br /> ''" Shoreline Protection Project at a Lake and River Friendly Awards ceremony on <br /> June 15, 2017 at the Crow Wing Land Services building between 3pm -4pm. <br /> Commissioner Pearson questioned if we can put up receptacle or signs for <br /> cigarettes along the playground area in Trailside Park. Discussion ensued. Mike <br /> Loven will have maintenance take the receptacle from the Cole Memorial <br /> Building to place near playground area. <br /> 9. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COMISSIONER BRYAN MOVED TO <br /> ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMISSIONER PEARSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION.
