Pequot �akes Police l�onthly Re�o�t <br /> October 2017: <br /> During the month of October(1�-31�),the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a record of 321 <br /> calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: <br /> • Alarm <br /> • Damage To Property <br /> • Disturbance <br /> • Domestic <br /> • Driving Complaint <br /> • Intoxicated Person <br /> • Property Damage Accident <br /> • Suspicious Activity <br /> • Suspicious Person <br /> Notable Calls: <br /> On 10/7/17, Officer Jorgens initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for equipment violations. While <br /> speaking with the driver and passenger, he noted an odor of marijuana present. He requested <br /> Officer Franz to respond to his location to standby for safety. Both occupants were detained <br /> while a search of the vehicle was conducted.The search resulted in locating marijuana, various <br /> drug paraphernalia and $335 cash.The female driver was arrested for 5t" degree drug <br /> possession, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and driving after suspension. <br /> The passenger was arrested for false name two outstanding felony warrants.The money and <br /> vehicle are pending forfeiture. <br /> On 10/31/17, OfFicer Jorgens observed a vehicle with a cracked windshield. He pulled up next <br /> to the vehicle at a stoplight and noticed three male occupants, purposefully not making eye <br /> contact with him. Officer Jorgens stopped the vehicle. Upon making contact with the <br /> occupants, a strong odor of marijuana was present.The driver admitted to smoking earlier and <br /> the front passenger admitted to having a small amount of marijuana on his person. OfFicer <br /> Petersen responded and stood by for officer safety while OfFicer Jorgens detained the <br /> occupants and searched the vehicle. During the search, Officer Jorgens located nearly 15 grams <br /> of marijuana, marijuana wax, an open bottle of alcohol and $291 cash.The driver was arrested <br /> for 5t'' degree drug possession, minor in possession of alcohol and possession of paraphernalia. <br /> The passengers were cited and released for possession of marijuana and possession of <br /> paraphernalia.The money and vehicle are pending forFeiture. <br /> Besides these two incidents,the Pequot Lakes Police Department had eight other arrests: <br />
