Pequot �akes Police l�onthly Re�o�t October 2017: During the month of October(1�-31�),the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a record of 321 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: • Alarm • Damage To Property • Disturbance • Domestic • Driving Complaint • Intoxicated Person • Property Damage Accident • Suspicious Activity • Suspicious Person Notable Calls: On 10/7/17, Officer Jorgens initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for equipment violations. While speaking with the driver and passenger, he noted an odor of marijuana present. He requested Officer Franz to respond to his location to standby for safety. Both occupants were detained while a search of the vehicle was conducted.The search resulted in locating marijuana, various drug paraphernalia and $335 cash.The female driver was arrested for 5t" degree drug possession, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and driving after suspension. The passenger was arrested for false name two outstanding felony warrants.The money and vehicle are pending forfeiture. On 10/31/17, OfFicer Jorgens observed a vehicle with a cracked windshield. He pulled up next to the vehicle at a stoplight and noticed three male occupants, purposefully not making eye contact with him. Officer Jorgens stopped the vehicle. Upon making contact with the occupants, a strong odor of marijuana was present.The driver admitted to smoking earlier and the front passenger admitted to having a small amount of marijuana on his person. OfFicer Petersen responded and stood by for officer safety while OfFicer Jorgens detained the occupants and searched the vehicle. During the search, Officer Jorgens located nearly 15 grams of marijuana, marijuana wax, an open bottle of alcohol and $291 cash.The driver was arrested for 5t'' degree drug possession, minor in possession of alcohol and possession of paraphernalia. The passengers were cited and released for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.The money and vehicle are pending forFeiture.
