The Planning Commission reviewed the 2oi6 <br /> Priorities and determined the following: <br /> Transportation— <br /> 1. Consider how the realignment of High.way 37� current and future land use along <br /> the new highway corridor, former Highway g�� (Patriot Avenue) and the Grow <br /> Zone. Identify potential development opportunities in these areas. <br /> 2. Create a city policy establishing when newly constructed roads will be accepted by <br /> the City for long-term maintenance. The policy should be based on reasonable <br /> assurance that the long-term maintenance costs will be sufficiently balanced by the <br /> additional tax revenue genera.ted. <br /> 3. Work with Crow Wing County to properly scale the TH 371 and CSAH 1i corridors <br /> through the Grow Zone area following tl�e construc�ion of the TH 37i Alternate <br /> Alignment. Ensure that these corridors maintain a character that encourages <br /> pedestrian acfiivity throughout the Grow Zone. <br /> Housing— <br /> i. Develop a plan for rehabilitation of existing homes. <br /> 2. Develop a target list of redevelopmenf properties. <br /> 3. Identify properties with substandard housing and create a process to effectively <br /> remedy it.
