Developed two new initiatives to support businesses with <br /> their growth and prosperity. <br /> o BLAEDC's Unified Fund has more than $2 million <br /> dollars now available to support area businesses, <br /> including PL companies, with their financing needs. <br /> o The KEY Recruitment Program has helped local <br /> companies hire 10 professionals so they can <br /> continue to grow, resulting in 22 people moving to <br /> the area. <br /> 4. Continued our traditional economic development efforts <br /> by working with individuals and companies to help them <br /> with their projects so we have private sector investment, <br /> jobs, ta�� base, and wealth in our community. (For <br /> example, BLAEDC has two meetings currently <br /> scheduled for PL projects in early December.) <br /> Sheila Haverkamp from BLAEDC will be present at the <br /> meeting to review this information with the Council. <br />
