'�' <br /> Nancy Malecha explained that bonding would be the funding mechanism <br /> for this project and may be subject to change as we have more specific <br /> project costs. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SAS+ ASSOCIATES <br /> IN THE AMOUNT OF $97,235 AND THE ENGINEERING AND <br /> OBSERVATION ESTIMATE WITH WIDSETH SMITH NOLTING IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $127,975 FOR THE TRAILSIDE PARK PHASE 1 <br /> CONSTRUCTION PROJECT. MAYOR ADAMS SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-1. COUNCIL MEMBER AICERSON <br /> OPPOSED. <br /> 9.2. Reauest to Hire Additional Public Works Employee <br /> Nancy Malecha presented an analysis showing specific tasks and <br /> approximate hours for an additional Public Works employee as directed by <br /> the Council at the September 5t" City Council meeting. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE HIRING <br /> OF AN ADDITIONAL PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE IN JULY OF 2018. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-1. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON OPPOSED. <br /> 9.3. ReQuest to Purchase Snowplow/Dump Truck <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> PURCHASE OF A SNOWPLOW/DUMP TRUCK UTILIZING THE STATE <br /> COOPERATIVE PURCHASING VENTURE TO BE PAID FROM THE <br /> HIGHWAY 371 CAPITAL OUTLAY BUDGET. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 9.4. 2018 Proposed Street Improvement Projects <br /> Tim Houle gave a summary of the potential street projects for Council <br /> consideration that were discussed at the September 5th Council meeting <br /> including East Sibley Street, County Road 112, and the Downtown SE <br /> Street Quadrant. Mr. Houle requested the Council provide direction as to <br /> which street segments they would like to consider for improvements in <br /> 2018. <br />
