Pequot Lakes Police Dept.
Report to the City Council
December 31, 2009
For the month of December the Department has logged more than 350 individual ICRs.
Current Activities:
The Reserves, Part time and Full time Officers conducted more than 386 individual security checks of
businesses and homes throughout the month, with 3 open doors found at area businesses.
Office Mgr Wedan assisted students from the Pequot Lakes High School with the 4th annual shopping
trip for the Christmas for Kids program on Dec 10th. Students help the program by shopping for other
teenage kids signed up to be recipients. A local business also donates funds to match Community
Policing dollars to provide funding for these kids of families in need.
On December 24th, 10 members of the department assisted with the annual Christmas for Kids gift and
food distribution for our local area. Every year, local law enforcement from the State Patrol, Crow Wing
and Cass Counties, Pequot Lakes, Nisswa, Lakeshore, Breezy Point, Crosslake, Pine River and the
DNR participate in this program along with area volunteer residents.
Respectfully Submitted,
Jerry Braam
Chief of Police
