PACKET OF INFORMATION SUBMITTFD TO CITY COUNCIL BY MICHAEL CZECH <br /> ON 10-3-17 - <br /> This summer in July, the residents of Wildlife Trail sent a 31 page request to the <br /> City asking that Wildlife Trail be adopted as a city street. The rec�uest was signed <br /> by the 19 residents on Wildlife Trail. Wildlife Trail is a Class 1 Gravel Road, with <br /> 10 abutting residences. <br /> The request submitted was a detailed analysis of city code, road comparisons to <br /> North Sluetter road, also a gravel road, which is adopted and maintained by the <br /> City <br /> The City's response was that Wildlife Trail was a private road and could not be <br /> supported by �he City. <br /> I have provided each of the council members a copy of the request and a <br /> background cover letter. <br /> We ask again, as tax paying residents of Pequot Lakes that the coucnilreview our <br /> request. <br /> If you as a city council feel that the City of Pequot Lakes cannot move forward on <br /> adoption, then at least consider the plowing of snow on Wildlife Trail under <br /> Minnesota Sta�ute 160.21, which does not require the adoption of the Wildlife <br /> Trail, but does provide safe access to the residents of Wildlife Trail for emergency <br /> services, school buses, utility companies and garbage haulers. <br /> We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this request as a regular agenda <br /> item at the next city council meeting, after the council has had the chance to review <br /> the request. <br />
