City Council Minutes January 5, 2010 Page 6 of 10 � ----------------------------- Mike Loven noted that Earl Hemmerich had a water line rupture at Pequot Terrace Estates and is requesting the City to forgive sewer charges for the water that did not go into the sewer lines. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO FORGIVE THE SEWER CHARGE OF $1,615.10 FOR PEQUOT TERRACE ESTATES. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- 0. 10.1. Enqineerinq Services Proposal for 2010 The City Engineer presented a proposal for engineering services for 2010. Tim Houle indicated that the 2010 billing rates would be the same as the 2009 rates. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVE TO APPROVE 2010 PROPOSAL FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH WSN. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 10.2. Enqineerinq Proposal for West Lake Street Improvements � Tim Houle presented a proposal for services for the proposed West Lake Street Improvements at an estimated cost of$44,700. Tim stated that the Council could consider authorizing the entire agreement or just certain phases of the agreement. Mike Loven suggested that the Council approve phases 1 and 2. MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE PHASE 1 (EXISTING CONDITIONS SURVEY AND FEASIBILITY STUDY) AND PHASE 2 (FINAL DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, & BIDDING) OF THE PROPOSAL FOR SERVICES FOR THE WEST LAKE STREET IMPROVEMENTS. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 10.3. Infrastructure Planninq Workshop Tim Houle suggested that the Council hold a joint special meeting with the Planning Commission to discuss the planning of future utility extensions. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR JANUARY 26, 2010, AT 6:00 `- P.M. FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING THE NEED FOR FUTURE
