The County Road 112 Proj ect is from the 4-way Stop at
Main Street north to the new roadway built as part of the
Hwy 3 71 Proj ect. There was a very rough estimate of scope
and costs provided during turn back negotiations with the
County. We did not get down to enough detail back then to
determine, for example, where stormwater along this
roadway would be discharged. Monies for some level of
improvements on this segment are provided by the County
as part of the turn back agreement.
Specific streets for the Downtown SE Street Quadrant
Proj ect segment or segments are not yet defined. A Storm
Drainage Study has been performed, so if the City wants to
improve a street segment or segments, we have a plan with
how we could deal with stormwater. As you probably
recall, a discharge location and basin is the most
challenging part of any improvements in this quadrant
(other locations could be investigated, but would require
longer reaches of pipe to get to). There has been no Study
completed yet to give us a rough idea of scope or costs on
improving any particular street segments.
Staff asked last month for guidance on which of the above
improvements the City would like to undertake next year.
Preferably, surveying could be done in the fall, design in
the winter, competitive spring bids can be obtained, and
construction can occur during the summer. The only project
prioritized from this list was East Sibley Street.
