ABSENT: Mark Hallan (Vice-Chair) <br /> CITY PLANNER: Justin Burslie <br /> ZONING SPECIALIST: Absent <br /> COUNCL LIAISON: Nancy Adams, Mayor <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chair Engels at 6:0o p.m. and opened the Public <br /> Hearing. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> APPLICANr: City of Pequot I.akes <br /> Applicant requests an Urdinance Amendment Creating Traffic Visibility <br /> Location for Fences <br /> Mr. Burslie e�lained the Staff Report. <br /> Public Comment Opened: No public comments. <br /> Public Comment Closed. <br /> Mayor Adams stated there are lilac bushes located at the corner of Grove St. and Oak St. <br /> that impact visibility. She asked if the ordinance applies to pre-existing <br /> structures/vegetation. <br /> Burslie stated that if there are obstructions in the sightlines of drivers that are impacting <br /> public safety the properry owner's may be required to remove structures or trim <br /> vegetation. The new ordinance generally only applies to new fences and vegetation. <br /> A motion was made by Planning Commission Member Wilson, seconded by <br /> Planning Commission Member Habein, to recommend the City Council <br /> amend the City Code creating a Traffic Visibility Location for Fences,based <br /> on the following Finding of Fact: <br /> MINUTES 1 <br /> Pequot Lakes Planning Commission <br /> September 2i, 2oi� <br />
