1%.-.
City of
Pe quot
Lakes —
AGENDA ITEM #10.2
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Date: December 6, 2011
Subiect: WAC /SAC Study
Report: Mike Loven and I met with Tim Houle to discuss
all issues relating to WAC /SAC and equivalent residential
connection units. Tim Houle will provide the Council with
a verbal update on our discussions. In summary, though, we
believe we should adopt written WAC & SAC Ordinances
that includes an equivalent residential connection (ERC)
table so we can apply an appropriate number of ERC's
based on different improvements / developments. The
WAC & SAC dollar amounts for these Ordinances should
be coordinated with what we are charging for our monthly
utility rates. Ehlers did perform a Rate Study for the City
about 5 years ago, and in it they mentioned WAC & SAC
as well as reviewing the Study every two years.
Council Action Requested: Council motion to approve
obtaining proposals to update the Ehlers Rate Study to
include monthly service charges and WAC & SAC dollar
amounts.
