PEQUOT LAKES COMMUNITY LIBRARY BOARD POLICY <br /> PROGRAMMING POLICY <br /> Revised: June 20,2017 <br /> The Pequot Lakes Library strives to provide top quality programming for the public. <br /> Library programs help people to become self-reliant library users, promote full and equal access <br /> to information, and foster the joy of reading and excitement about lifelong learning. Library <br /> progra.ms strengthen the Library as a vital part of the community, enhance the Library experience <br /> for regular Library users, and help the Library reach out to new and diverse constituencies. <br /> Library programming for the public may include literature or literacy-based programs,cultural arts <br /> progra.ms, story times, author talks and other activities as well as instructional classes on library <br /> resources and other informational programs. <br /> Priorities, strategies, and guidelines for the development of such library programs will be <br /> established from time to time, within the context of Pequot Lakes Library's strategic directions <br /> and objectives. <br /> The Volunteer, Materials, and Programs Coordinators will wark together to develop and <br /> coordinate instructional classes on Library resources and other public training programs. <br /> �� <br /> 18 <br />
