City Council Minutes <br /> December 3,2007 <br /> Page 8 of 9 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> �- <br /> Mike Loven informed the Council that a decision was made to <br /> gravel the entire length of South Hurtig Road thus incurring more <br /> cost to the City. Mr. Loven requested that the City pay Loon Lake <br /> Township an additional $4,500 from the 2007 Roads and Streets <br /> budget. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO PAY LOON LAKE <br /> TOWNSHIP UP TO AN ADDITIONAL $4,500 FOR THE SOUTH <br /> HURTIG ROAD PROJECT WITH FUNDS EXPENDED FROM THE <br /> 2007 ROADS AND STREETS BUDGET. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED <br /> 4-0. <br /> 11.5. 2003 Pick Up Truck <br /> Mike Loven requested authorization to retain the 2003 one-ton <br /> truck. Mr. Loven indicated that when the 2008 truck purchase was <br /> approved, the City did not have plans to hire another <br /> Water/Wastewater employee, thus allowing the two departments to <br /> share current trucks. However, with the hiring of the <br /> Water/Wastewater Supervisor, this will cause the loss of an <br /> `�-- available truck for the Maintenance Department. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ALLOW THE <br /> MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT TO RETAIN THE 2003 ONE TON <br /> TRUCK. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 12. Ciiv Enqineer <br /> City Engineer Mike Rude informed the Council that a meeting was held <br /> with the Pequot Lakes School Board regarding an agreement on the Oak <br /> Street right-of-way easement and negotiations have begun. <br /> 12.1. Trailside Estates Update <br /> No new updates at this time. <br /> 13. Other Business <br /> Council Member Sjoblad requested that the City amend the Vehicle Policy <br /> by removing Item C. Council Member Sjoblad indicated that the intended <br /> purpose for this Item has since been resolved. <br /> �- <br />
