Preliminarv General Fund Levv <br /> The City Clerk noted that budget amendments have been made to the <br /> preliminary general fund budget as requested by Council on August 14th. <br /> The budget amendments represent a $9,160 decrease in the levy amount. <br /> She noted that the preliminary levy at this time is $1,489,150 which is an <br /> 8.67% increase from the 2007 levy. She further noted that department <br /> heads have been put on notice regarding the Council's desire to further <br /> reduce the levy prior to final levy adoption. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT THE <br /> PRELIMINARY GENERAL FUND LEVY AT $1,489,150. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ADOPT THE HRA <br /> PRELIMINARY LEVY AT $31,000.
