City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes=_- <br /> NEw BUSINESS—U-HAUL RENTAL DISCUSSION <br /> Agenda Item: 6 (a) <br /> , <br /> v -sa_ ): <br /> Background Information: Staff received a complaint regarding the U-Haul <br /> trailers parked on the lot east of the Dog Park (outlined in red). The U-Haul <br /> rental business is operated from the used car lot directly to the east of this lot <br /> (outlined in green). The property owners, Wallace and Shirley Schoeb, were <br /> contacted and advised if they wished to continue the operation of the U-Haul <br /> rental business they would need to apply for a Conditional Use Permit. The <br /> subject property is zoned Commercial. <br /> Wallace Schoeb contacted Staff and requested to address the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> His son, Mark Schoeb, operates the Used Car Lot and Car Wash on the parcel <br /> outlined in green. Mark Schoeb was issued a Conditional Use Permit to operate a <br /> motor vehicle sales and service business in the Commercial zone in 2004. The <br /> approval letter is attached outlining the condition that "Employee parking, <br /> customer parking and parking of sales units shall occur within the bituminous <br /> paved surface.
