Friends of the Peguot Lakes Library Request <br /> Tom Adams noted that the Friends of the Library sent money to the City of <br /> Pequot Lakes over time for two purposes, for daily operating expenses <br /> which were donated funds and for endowment funds which were not <br /> donated to the City but were to be held by the City and invested. Mr. <br /> Adams pointed out that the City indicated all of these funds had been <br /> donated to the City which he believes was a clerical error and would like to <br /> get it cleared up. Mr. Adams explained that The Friends of the Pequot <br /> Lakes Community Library (FOPLCL) have submitted a request for the City <br /> to return monies in the amount of$123,661.38. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO RETURN MONIES IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $123,661.38 TO THE FRIENDS OF THE PEQUOT LAKES <br /> COMMUNITY LIBRARY. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. MAYOR ADAMS ABSTAINED. <br /> 10.5. Change the August 22nd Special Meeting Date <br /> Council Member Loukota requested the August 22nd Special Council <br /> Meeting date be changed to August 15th at 6:00 p.m. due to a conflict. <br /> Council Member Pederson noted that he also has a conflict with the <br /> August 22"d date. The consensus of the Council agreed to change the <br /> Special Council Meeting date from August 22, 2017 to August 15, 2017 at <br /> 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of the capital improvement planning and 2018 <br /> preliminary budget work session. <br /> 11. Other Business <br /> There was no other business. <br /> 12. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> MOVED TO ADJOURN. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> The meeting of the City Council adjourned at 7:57 p.m. <br />
