Crosswalk Signs Discussion <br /> Police Chief Eric Kiang explained the problem with the pedestrian crossing <br /> sign at the intersection of the Paul Bunyan Trail and County Road 11. <br /> Pedestrians are not stopping to let the vehicle traffic through especially <br /> during events which then backs up the roadways. Chief Kiang is <br /> requesting that the pedestrian sign at the Paul Bunyan Trail intersection <br /> be moved further east to the intersection of Government Drive and County <br /> Road 11. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO MOVE THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING <br /> SIGN FROM THE INTERSECTION OF THE PAUL BUNYAN TRAIL AND <br /> COUNTY ROAD 11 TO THE INTERSECTION OF GOVERNMENT DRIVE <br /> AND COUNTY ROAD 11. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0 <br /> Chief Kiang recognized Police Officer Ryan Franz who was awarded the <br /> top student award at the drug recognition school. <br /> 9. Public Works <br /> 9.1. Street Quadrant Storm Water Cost Estimation <br /> Mike Rude of Widseth Smith Nolting explained that the Street Quadrant <br /> storm water cost estimation amount is at $700,000 of which $175,000 is <br /> due to moving the infiltration basin further south to account for the <br /> potential skate park location. Mr. Rude noted that this is a conservative <br /> estimate. <br /> 9.2. Maintenance Facility Design <br /> Mike Loven explained that he met with Widseth Smith Nolting on the <br /> recommendations for the Maintenance Facility Design. <br /> Mike Rude noted that they are anticipating going out for bids this winter <br /> and getting started with construction in the spring of 2018. <br /> Council Member Pederson questioned what site work is involved. Mike <br /> Rude explained it will be the parking areas, layouts and elevations, <br />
