Sandy Pine - Pequot lakes City Hall
Camera System
Proposal: 2815 -00 10/4/2011 Section: 1 Page: 1
TOM'S TV
SYSTEM DESIGN
This proposal represents a design carefully prepared with your requirements, our experience and industry
standards all balanced to form a workable plan.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS
Tom's TV feels the best way to obtain your goals in the most cost effective manner would to be to use a
hosting site, or set up your own site to host the material you wish to broadcast. We have consulted with
Brent Rangen of "Hub Juice" a content management company based here in Brainerd. Brent has
indicated he may also recommend setting up your own hosting site through Crosslake Communications
which he can do for you. Tom's Tv would install the hardware and then your I.T . people or Brent
Rangen would set up the hosting.
The operation of the camera is controlled via a laptop with the Panasonic software installed, and
connected to the network
You can then simply upload the video and audio to the hosting service. The main concern everyone has
expressed is that the size of the file for a 2 - 3 hour meeting will become quite large to e-mail to the
hosting site. The easist way to avoid this problem is to take a short beak every hour to stop the camera
then restart the camera ( recording) this will create seperate files that will be much more efficient to send
to the hosting site.
For the public or highschool to veiw these recordings they would simply click on the link on your web
site. You could also upload files i.e. the agenda, documents, photos etc. for public examination.
I have included the links to three differnt hosting sites
http: / /wistia.com/
http: / /vimeo.com/
http: / /www.viddler.com/
Brent Rangen
www.hubjuice.com
brent@hubjuice.com
1 ea OPEN - POE -48I - POWER SUPPLY - POWER OVER ETHERNET 49.00 49.00
INJECTOR
1 ea PANASONIC - WV -SF336 - CAMERA - HD FIXED DOME NETWORK 999.00 999.00
CAMERA
1 ea TOM'S TV - PRE -WIRE CUSTOM - PRE -WIRE - CUSTOM PRE -WIRE 55.00 55.00
CONFIGURATION
Unit Total
COUNCIL CHAMBERS TOTAL: $1,103.00
25 NE WASHINGTON ST, BRAINERD, MN 56401 Ph: 218- 829 -6179 Fax: 218 - 829 -8800
