Pequot Lakes lndustrial Park and New Technology Park
The following is for the construction of fiber optics to serve both the current Pequot Lakes lndustrial
Park and the proposed new Technology Park addition. lt is important to note that this cost includes
fiber to Derksen Rd, to be utilized for future expansion into the proposed New Technology Park that
currently has two parcels and is located directly south of the current lndustrial Park.
All costs are based on estimates and a final cost will be determined when a final engineering package is
kicked off. The final engineered plan can be +2O/o or -20% of the initial high level estimate.
Based on a TDS predetermined contribution the cost to the EDC, in the form of an ATC (Aid to
Construction), would be$lSÑ q 49, ooo f tr 8oA Per/<ins ot1 ¿, -/3-/7
lf the EDC would like to proceed with final cost, an engineering project will be started, providing final
network planning and a final firm cost for the project. The above ACT is based on a high level estimate
only at this time.
Aid to Construction - Process for Fiber/GPON Extensions
t. TDS provides a high level estimate for the ATC (Aid to Construction) customer contribution
2. lf customer is interested in proceeding with the project a formal engineering project is started
and final costs determine and then provided to the customer. The final project cost can be + or -
2O% of the high level estimate.
3. Final ATC cost shared with the customer, if a customer wishes to proceed with the propose
project, an ATC contract is executed.
4. Upon return of the signed ATC agreement, with payment, the construction project is then
started.
Current Products offered via Fiber Optic Facilities
DFA - Dedicated Fiber Access
Products are delivered over a dedicated fiber facility, from the local TDS office to the customer
premise (a secure last-mile connection). These services are carrier grade solutions for
Commercial applications.
a
a
a
DFA products have advanced technical support and repair priority
DFA products include
o DIA - Dedicated lnternet Access
o MetroE - Ethernet Service(s)
o managedlP Suite
