Staff Findings: Staff provides the following Findings of Fact for consideration <br /> by the Planning Commission: <br /> 1. A specific written management plan has been prepared by a professional <br /> forester. <br /> 2. The vegetation management plan describes how it will protect or enhance <br /> the scenic and aesthetic character of the shoreland. <br /> 3. The management plan includes a general description of the property; Staff <br /> has secured the legal description. <br /> 4. The general description includes the location, size,topography, soils, and <br /> access to the vegetation management area. <br /> 5. The management plan includes the name, address and phone number of <br /> the person in charge of the project. <br /> Planning Commission Direction: The Planning Commission can approve <br /> the Forest Management Plan, deny the application, or table the request if <br /> additional information is needed. If the motion is for approval or denial, <br /> Findings of Fact should be cited. <br /> Staff Recommendation: <br /> 1. We recommend the application be approved, subject to the following <br /> conditions: <br /> a. A 30-foot buffer shall be maintained around the wetland; <br /> b. The flags along the south line of the Donald Reschke property shall be <br /> removed. <br /> 2. The Planning Commission shall make a recommendation to the City <br /> Council regarding a penalty. <br /> Pequot Lakes Staff Report 7(b)-5 <br /> July 20,2017 <br />
