POLICE <br />218.568.8111 <br />Fax 218.568.5647 <br />plpd@pequotlakes-mn.gov <br />INCIDENT REPORTS: <br />L LIQF mI <br />www.pequotlakes -mn. gov <br />Report to City Council <br />November 1 Council Meeting <br />• To date, the Department logged 133 individual ICR's. <br />DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES: <br />Eric Klang <br />Chief of Police <br />4638 County Road 11 <br />Pequot Lakes, MN 56472 <br />• As Chair of the Rosenmeier Center, Chief Klang attended the Informal Evening with the <br />Minnesota Supreme Court October 11. The mission of the Rosenmeier Center is to inform, <br />educate and encourage citizens of Central Minnesota to participate in effective governance, <br />planning and leadership. It was very interesting to get to know the human side of their branch of <br />government. <br />• The Reserve Officers provided escort for the Homecoming Parade October 14, as well as Foot <br />Patrol at the Homecoming Game. <br />• October 15 Chief Klang participated as a judge for the Tent City (cardboard boxes) held at the <br />Arboretum, which recognized poverty in our area. Poverty should not be left in a box. <br />• October 17 Chief Klang attended a forum on poverty and what the government's roll is in it, held <br />at the CLC Theater. <br />• The Reserve Officers provided Foot Patrol for the Bobber Bowl Football Game October 18. <br />• Chief Klang attended the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Chicago <br />October 21 — 26. <br />TRAINING: <br />• Chief Klang, Internal Affairs, October 4 and 5, Brainerd; <br />• Officer Gartner, online courses sponsored by the Department of Public Safety and in cooperation <br />with Alexandria Technical & Community College, Radio 101, History of ARMER, and <br />Interoperability, October 22; <br />• Officer Nangle, online courses sponsored by the Department of Public Safety and in cooperation <br />with Alexandria Technical & Community College, Radio 101, History of ARMER, and <br />Interoperability, October 22; <br />• Officer Ryan, online courses sponsored by the Department of Public Safety and in cooperation <br />with Alexandria Technical & Community College, Radio 101, History of ARMER, and <br />Interoperability, October 23. <br />Completed October 26, 2011 <br />
