City of <br /> AGENDA ITEM #10.2 <br /> Pe L <br /> not <br /> akes — <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Report Prepared by: Nancy Malecha <br /> Date: June 6, 2017 <br /> Subject: Pequot Lakes Thriving Communities Initiative <br /> (TCI) — Community Slogan <br /> Report: The Economy Task Force, of the Pequot Lakes <br /> TCI, brought forth a recommendation to the TCI Steering <br /> Committee of a community slogan for Pequot Lakes. The <br /> Task Force noted that creating a community identity and <br /> marketing plan is a goal identified through the TCI process <br /> and the creation and registration of a community slogan is <br /> the first step. <br /> The Pequot Lakes TCI Steering Committee, at their <br /> meeting held on May 17th, recommended to the Council <br /> that "The Heart of the Good Life" be the community slogan <br /> for Pequot Lakes. Upon approval of this slogan, the <br /> process of conveying this to the community along with a <br /> marketing plan will be a top priority for the Task Force. <br />
