MINUTES <br /> PRESERVE GOLF COURSE <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br /> BIANNUAL MEETING <br /> MAY 12, 2017 <br /> PRESENT: Tom Beaver, Cullen Lakes Association; Dave Morris, East Twin Lake <br /> Association; Sara Ahlers,A.W. Research Laboratories; Chad Bohnenstingl and Mike <br /> Bohnenstingl, Preserve Golf Course Management Team; Mimi Swanson, City of Pequot <br /> Lakes Council Member; and Dawn Bittner, City of Pequot Lakes. <br /> ABSENT: None. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 10:20 AM by Dawn Bittner. <br /> Review the May 8, 2015 Minutes: <br /> A motion was made by Tom Beaver, seconded by Chad Bohnenstingle,to approve the <br /> May 8, 2015 Minutes. All members voted"aye". Motion carried. <br /> Review the A.W. Research 2016 Lab Results: <br /> Sara Ahlers reviewed the Introduction, Sampling Schedule and Summary pointing out <br /> there were no significant spikes in the readings,although there was a slight upward <br /> trend at Wetland #2 in nitrogen. <br /> Tom Beaver provided an explanation for the new attendees of the history of the golf <br /> course and the need for this Environmental Committee. <br /> Receive approved Conditional Use Permit revisions: <br /> Dawn Bittner noted the August 24, 2015 letter approving the revisions to the Conditions <br /> as recommended by this Committee. <br /> Other Business: <br /> Crow Wing County Tree Harvest— <br /> Dawn Bittner explained Crow Wing County plans to harvest timber from the parcel east <br /> of the Golf Course and inquired whether or not this Committee had any concerns. Tom <br /> Beaver asked to have the information sent to him and he will review. <br /> Chad Bohnenstingle noted a Blandings Turtle had been found on the Golf Course. <br /> When asked,the Bohnenstingle's stated there are no construction plans or changes <br /> planned for the Golf Course this year. <br /> The next meeting will be held the second Friday in May, 2019. The meeting was <br /> adjourned at 10:54 AM. <br />
