APPENDIX A-1 <br /> March 24, 2017 <br /> Robert and Kimberly Swenson VIA PERSONAL SERVICE <br /> 4168 Division Street W. <br /> Backus, MN 56435 <br /> Re: NOTICE - IMMEDIATE CORRECTIVE ACTION REQUIRED <br /> City Ordinance Violations at 31051 Pine Street, Pequot Lakes,MN 56472 <br /> I <br /> Dear Mr. and Mrs. Swenson: <br /> I am writing in my capacity as Zoning Specialist for the City of Pequot Lakes (the"City"). <br /> You have knowingly maintained conditions on your above-referenced property located <br /> at 31051 Pine Street(the"Property")that violate the City's Code of Ordinances (the"City <br /> Code") and which constitute a public nuisance. Specifically,you have allowed <br /> miscellaneous items to accumulate in plain site along the south lot line of the Property, <br /> an abandoned truck to remain parked outside of a structure, and deterioration of the <br /> dwelling, attached garage and accessory structure on the Property in violation of the <br /> City's Code of Ordinances and nuisance regulations (the"City Code"). Further,you have <br /> failed to remedy such conditions despite receiving written notice of violation from the <br /> City dated June 21, 2016. <br /> This letter is intended to provide you notice of the City Code violations and nuisance <br /> conditions that continue on your Property and the corrective action that is necessary for <br /> you to avoid additional legal action against you. <br /> Violations of City Code and Nuisance Conditions <br /> The accumulation of miscellaneous items along the south lot line of the Property and <br /> deterioration of the dwelling, attached garage and accessory structure on the Property is <br /> in violation of the following City Code provisions: <br /> • Section 17-7.4 requires "(a)11 structures shall be properly maintained in a clean <br /> and acceptable manner so as not to constitute a menace to the public health, <br /> 1 <br />
