The City Code also states in Section 17-7.5 (B) STORAGE that "...all materials and equipment shall be stored within a building or fully screened so as not to be visible from adjoining properties." • If the enclosed photographs accurately depict your property, I would have to find that you are in violation of this Section of the City Code. Section 17-7.5 (D) STORAGE states that "Abandoned motor vehicles shall be stored within a structure or completely screened from view from adjacent properties and right-of-way." • The same three vehicles appear to be parked in the same location for more than one (1)year. These vehicles will need to be removed if they cannot fit in the garage. Section 17-7.6 VISUAL STANDARDS states that "No use shall create, maintain or continue any activity or structure which has a strong negative visual impact or offends the morals or violates the standards of the City." • If the enclosed photographs accurately depict your property, I would have to find that you are in violation of this Section of the City Code. Section 17-7.7 SANITATION STANDARDS states that "All solid waste shall be disposed of in accordance with the standards of Crow Wing County." • Items beyond their usable life need to be discarded properly. As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the City Code, we would like the opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no later than May 28, 2017 you store the items within a structure or remove them from your property. Failure to comply with the City Code by May 28, 2017 will prompt us to take more aggressive action. This would likely include Administrative Fines in the amount of $100.00 per day for each day the violation continues, civil action to obtain a court order directing you to comply with the City Code and could potentially include criminal action. You will be responsible to reimburse the City for any expenses incurred in remedying this violation. This would include any consultant fees or other professional services that City Staff determines is necessary, including but not limited to the City Planner, the City Engineer or the City Attorney.
