Derksen VIA PERSONAL SERVICE 31116 Ash Street Pequot Lakes, MN 56472 Re: NOTICE - City Council Hearing, May 2, 2017, 5:30 p.m. to consider City Ordinance Violations at 31116 Ash Street,Pequot Lakes,MN 56472 Dear Mr. and Mrs. Derksen: I am writing in my capacity as Zoning Specialist for the City of Pequot Lakes (the"City") in follow up to my letter dated February 21, 2017,in which I notified you that you have knowingly maintained conditions on your above-referenced property located at 31116 Ash Street(the"Property")that violate the City's Code of Ordinances (the"City Code") and which constitute a public nuisance, and required such code violations and public nuisance conditions to be corrected by no later than March 20, 2017 to avoid enforcement actions being taken against you. Further visual inspection of your property has revealed that you failed to make any efforts to abate the nuisance conditions by the March 20, 2017 deadline. Therefore,the City Council will be asked to declare your property to be a public nuisance, order its abatement, and conduct a hearing thereon pursuant to Section 7-2.6 of the City Code. Please take notice that the City Council will conduct such hearing on May 2, 2017, at 5:3o p.m. (not April 4. 2017 as stated in my February 21, 2017 letter), at the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 4638 County Road 11, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472, pursuant to Section 7-2.6 of the City Code,unless you provide proof of compliance with the applicable city code provisions before such date.
