July 19, 2011 Minutes <br />Housing & Redevelopment Authority <br />Commissioners present: Bob Peterson, Robert Ritter, Lorraine Youngberg, Laura Hofius <br />Also present: Executive Director Carlson, Assistant Director Anderson, Maintenance Hall, Mayor Adams <br />Tenants: P. Hoskins, J. Hoskins, D. Botham, M. Dickey, E. Hueberger, S. Buschmann, P. Kelly, J. Spaid, <br />D. Wgeishofski, L. Dewes, W. Lamont <br />Call Meeting to Order 5:19 p.m. Chairman Peterson called to order the meeting of the Housing Authority. <br />Peterson welcomed everyone attending. <br />Consider Agenda & Bills No changes in the agenda <br />Consent Agenda/Regular Meeting approved Minutes & Payment of bills <br />Moved by Hofius, seconded by Ritter, All ayes; Motion carried. <br />West Grove <br />One rented and working on getting the second one rented. <br />Sibley Terrace <br />No Business <br />Parkview <br />HUD received contracts for renewal. They will be reviewed by HUD within 2 weeks by the adjuster. They will <br />be retro- active. <br />Fire in unit #206. There was a statement taken by the tenant. It was noted as being an accident caused by a <br />grease fire. All new cabinets, stove, and countertops will be needed as well as sheetrock & electrical work. <br />ProServe has been hired to do the job. No one was hurt. There is discussion to have fire prevention & safety <br />presentation for the tenants. <br />The management fee from Parkview is late in getting to Sibley. They are owing May & June at this point. <br />`We have couple vacancies and we are working at getting them filled. <br />Alpine <br />No Business <br />Executive Director's Report <br />The fire has taken up a lot of time with everything that is involved. <br />Erika has come in to help to help us catch up. She will also be helping with some old reports that need to get <br />done. <br />Maintenance Engineer's Report <br />The humidity has been causing issues with door locks. We are also in the process of getting the Move Out units <br />ready to rent. <br />Other Business <br />Reminder that our celebration for National Night Out in August 2nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.. All residents are <br />invited as well as the Board. The Board was asked again this year if they were to attend if they could volunteer <br />and help serve the food. The City staff ,Mayor & Police were also extended the invitation. The Mayor offered <br />her assistance in serving the food. <br />Open Forum <br />The Mayor thanked the residents, staff, and board for all the good work done and having a nice & functioning <br />facility that is going well. <br />Reminder that the No -kill shelter is still in the works. The State Shut Down slowed down the process. <br />Tenant(s) from ParkView thanked the office staff for helping them concerning the problems that have been <br />going on. <br />Adjournment 5:42p.m. Moved by Ritter, seconded by Hofius.
