ABSENT: <br /> Mark Hallan, Nathan Norton and Wesley Wilson. <br /> CITY PLANNER: Justin Burslie, NJPA <br /> ZONING SPECIALIST: Dawn Bittner <br /> COUNCIL LIAISON: Randy Loukota <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chair Engels at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Chair Engels opened the Public Hearings. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br /> APPLICANT: City of Pequot Lakes <br /> Applicant requests an Ordinance Amendment Regarding Minimum Lot Size <br /> in the Transition Residential Zone <br /> Mr. Burslie explained the Staff Report. Planning Commission Member Wallin asked if <br /> the side yard setback should also be reduced if we adjust the lot width requirement. Mr. <br /> Burslie explained that the Transition zone is more rural and the 25-foot setback is more <br /> suitable. <br /> Public Comment: None <br /> A MOTION WAS MADE BY PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER HABEIN, <br /> SECONDED BY PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER MORTENSON,TO <br /> RECOMMEND THE CITY COUNCIL AMEND THE ORDINANCE AS <br /> PRESENTED, BASED ON THE FOLLOWING FINDING OF FACT: <br /> 1. The amendment creates a more flexible ordinance that allows property owners <br /> the ability to subdivide larger existing tracts. <br /> All members voted"aye".
