Peqe uot NEW BUSINESS—PERMIT EXTENSION Application: Land Use Permit Extension Applicant: Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity Agenda Item: 6 (c) Background Information: October 15, 2014 BET Investments, LLC, was issued a Land Use Permit to construct a dwelling and attached garage. That LLC was dissolved and the real estate and the dwelling under construction was given to Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity. Land Use Permit 14-65 was transferred to Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity on April 20, 2016. Lakes Area Habitat is unable to complete construction by April 20, 2017 and have requested a 6o-day extension of Land Use Permit 16-13. Applicable Regulations: Section 17-11 LAND USE PERMITS states: 7. Unless extended by the Zoning Administrator, where a Land Use Permit has been issued but no action has occurred within 12 months, the Land Use Permit shall be null and void. Exterior work on the structure shall be complete in 24 months from the issuance of the Land Use Permit. The time limit may be extended up to six months by the Zoning Administrator for good cause. A second extension shall be decided by the Planning Commission. The Land Use Permit issued April 20, 2016 essentially extended the original Land Use Permit for 6 months. This 6o-day extension shall be decided by the Planning Commission. Planning Commission Direction: The Planning Commission can approve the Land Use Permit extension, deny the extension, or table the request if additional information is needed.
