Applicable Regulations: Staff has prepared an ordinance amendment that <br /> creates a Public Zoning Classification. The red, underlined text is the proposed <br /> language to be added. <br /> Staff Findings: Staff provides the following Findings of Fact for consideration <br /> by the Planning Commission: <br /> 1. The amendment creates a zoning classification intended for existing public <br /> use of land or for land properly suited for public facilities, parks and open <br /> spaces and other locations for public or semipublic use. <br /> 2. The amendment creates consistent zoning regulations for publicly owned <br /> property that is rezoned to the new classification. <br /> Planning Commission Direction: The Planning Commission can approve <br /> the Ordinance Amendment, deny the application, or table the request if <br /> additional information is needed. If the motion is for approval or denial, <br /> Findings of Fact should be cited. <br /> Staff Recommendation: We recommend a motion for the City Council to <br /> Amend the Ordinance. <br /> Pequot Lakes Staff Report 3(a)-2 <br /> April 20,2017 <br />
