�11 Animal Control Enforcement Services <br />PROPOSAL FOR CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES (to include city of JENKINS), MINNESOTA <br />This proposal will cover the duties of Animal Control Enforcement and the proposed compensation for said duties. This proposal is for the City <br />of Pequot Lakes and City of Jenkins, State of Minnesota. <br />SERVICES PROVIDED <br />These are the services that Animal Control Enforcement provides and a brief description of the service. <br />ANIMALS RUNNING AT LARGE. This covers the pickup and delivery of animals, said to be running at large in the city limits of Pequot <br />Lakes and Jenkins, MN in violation of city ordinance, to either the designated impound facility or owner if know. <br />Municipalities are responsible for securing impoundment location and any fees involved Animal Control Enforcement fees only cover the <br />pick up and delivery of animals. <br />CITATIONS. This covers all citations issued for violations of the City Animal Ordinances and/or MN State Statutes. <br />INVESTIGATION OFANIMAL BITES. This covers all animal bites and necessary reports and pictures /if any. These would be turned <br />into the Pequot Lakes Police Department. Animal would be impounded at designated impound facility, or owners residence with a periodic <br />check to make sure animal is quarantined as necessary under state statute. <br />BARKING DOG COMPLAINTS. This covers the investigation of said complaint and necessary reports. <br />CRUELTYAND /OR NEGLECT COMPLAINTS. This covers the investigation of said complaint and necessary reports. <br />'-r0URTAPPEARANCES: This includes any court appearances or council meetings as may be necessary. <br />ANY OTHER MATTERS DEEMED NECESSARYAS DIRECTED BY CITY COUNCILOR DESIGNATE. This covers any other <br />service deemed necessary and included in said ordinance. <br />WILD ANIMALS: These types of calls would be the responsibility of the owner of the residence. Animal Control does not handle skunks. <br />A MONTHLYREPORT.• This would be turned into the City Councilor designate monthly. <br />MILEAGE. Mileage would be reimbursed at the current IRS approved Mileage Rate. Mileage would be from the Hannahs residence to the <br />call and back. <br />SERVICE AVAILABILITY. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, baring illness or injury. With the municipality <br />understanding that Animal Control Enforcement contracts with several municipalities, and calls will be handled as quickly as possible, and on a <br />priority basis. <br />In the event that animal control would be unavailable, written advanced notice will be given as to the date services would be unavailable. <br />Example; training, out of town, schooling. This would be included with the monthly statement. <br />SERVICE FEE <br />In return for the above mentioned services a proposed service fee of $216.00 per month, plus mileage would be paid to Animal Control <br />Enforcement. <br />The proposed fee was figured using the population of the City of Pequot Lakes, 2162 and City of Jenkins, 430 people in the city limits at <br />$ per person, for a total of $2592.00 per year. <br />
