CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION 17- <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING UNCLAIMED PROPERTY AS ABANDONED <br /> PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS, the Pequot Lakes Police Department (PLPD) has accrued a <br /> collection of unclaimed bicycles by responding to calls for service. <br /> WHEREAS, the unclaimed bicycles have been in the PLPD's possession for <br /> more than six months with unsuccessful attempts to determine ownership. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3-8.2 of the Pequot Lakes City Code, <br /> abandoned property means tangible or intangible property that has lawfully come <br /> into the possession of the City in the course of municipal operations, remains <br /> unclaimed by the owner, and has been in the possession of the City for at least <br /> sixty days. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THE CITY COUNCIL OF PEQUOT <br /> LAKES, MINNESOTA declares the unclaimed bicycles described above as <br /> abandoned property and further authorizes the PLPD to sell this property at a <br /> public auction. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes this 4th day of April, <br /> 2017. <br /> Nancy A.
