Amendment: Chapter 7, General Offenses,Article 2, Defining and Prohibiting <br /> Nuisances and Providing a Penalty for Violation, Section 7-2.7, Recovery of Cost, is <br /> hereby amended as follows: <br /> Section 7-2.7. RECOVERY OF COST <br /> 1. Personal Liability. The owner of the premises on which a nuisance has <br /> been abated by the City shall be personally liable for the cost to the City of the <br /> abatement, including administrative costs, attorneys'fees and court costs <br /> incurred by the City in enforcing an Order of the Council under Section 7-2.6.As <br /> soon as the work has been completed and the cost determined, the City clerk shall <br /> prepare a bill for the cost and mail it to the owner. Thereupon, the amount shall <br /> be immediately due and payable at the office of the City Clerk. <br /> Effective Date: This ordinance amendment shall be in full force and effect from and <br /> after passage and publication according to state law. <br /> Repeal: This ordinance shall repeal all ordinances inconsistent herewith. <br /> Passed by the Pequot Lakes City Council this day of , 2017. <br /> Nancy Adams, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Nancy Malecha <br /> City Administrator/Clerk <br />
