Mr. Burslie further stated the Conditional Use Permit was for a used car lot, then minor
repairs on cars, not an auto repair business. Now transmissions are repaired. Mr.
Walberg has turned this property into a junk yard with inoperable vehicles. Mr.
Walberg stated some vehicles have transmissions that need to be repaired, but not a lot.
Mr. Burslie asked Mr.Walberg to move the vehicles into the areas identified on the site
plan or amend the Conditional Use Permit. This would be the same process as a
Conditional Use Permit.
When asked, Mr.Walberg stated it would take approximately one month to a month and
a half to reduce the number of vehicles.
Mr. Burslie asked Mr.Walberg if he could stake out these locations before the next
meeting. Mr.Walberg stated this is the heart of his sales season and could not. Mr.
Burslie stated it is important to resolve this issue so the City doesn't need to revoke his
Conditional Use Permit.
Planning Commission Member Wallin asked how many cars are sold per year Mr.
Walberg stated an average of about loo, with approximately 1/3 of annual sales this
time of year.
Council Member Loukota suggested May jst to have the areas staked and the vehicles
moved; Mr.Walberg agreed. Mr. Burslie stated the Planning Commission will do an
onsite visit during their May meeting, May 18. The meeting will be called to order at
City Hall, then move to the used car lot for the onsite visit.
Mr. Burslie reminded Mr.Walberg that he needs to be in compliance.
OLD BUSINESS:
a.
