PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION <br /> THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2016 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Chair Ronning, Commissioners Adams, Bruch, Bryan (5:10), Nagel, <br /> and Pearson <br /> Members Absent: Commissioner Caouette <br /> Also Present: Mike Loven, Public Works Supervisor; Maury Graham; and Dawn <br /> Bittner, Zoning Specialist <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Chair Ronning called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA. <br /> COMMISSIONER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5-0. <br /> 3. Park Commission Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE NOVEMBER 10, 2016, <br /> PARK COMMISSION MINUTES. COMMISSIONER PEARSON SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 4. Park Bench Donation <br /> Commissioner Adams reported the Council supported the Memorial Plaque <br /> project with Community Action of Pequot Lakes, as well as the Student Art in the <br /> Park project with the School. Chair Ronning noted the email from City <br /> Administrator/Clerk Malecha regarding a liability waiver for students and/or <br /> parents to sign prior to their artwork being placed in Trailside Park. The Council <br /> further directed that the content of artwork be discussed with the Art Department <br /> at School in an effort to minimize inappropriate content from being displayed. <br /> 5. Park Commission Vacancy <br /> Chair Ronning stated Commissioner Bryan submitted her application for <br /> reappointment and that Commissioner Bruch had decided not to apply for <br /> reappointment. Chair Ronning thanked Commissioner Bruch for his years of <br /> service on the Park Commission. <br />
