Per elms .athTaepaftmen4s as needed Perform other duties and assume responsibilities as apparent or assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge and/ef ability to leafn the ep fie er a Class D sanitary sewer system and Class C Municipal water system • Ability to operate sewer jetting machine, various testing equipment and other related equipment or machinery • Ability to be "on call" during weekends and evenings when necessary • Ability to communicate effectively with other city employees, city officials, and the general public • Ability to determine solutions to a variety of operation and maintenance problems • Knowledge of federal and state laws municipal ordinances and regulatory agency requirements for water and wastewater systems Minimum Oualifications: • High school education or equivalent • Possess er be able te ebtai.n. a valid Minnesota Commercial Class B drivers license with air -brake and tanker endorsements, within 30 days ef empleyfRelit • Minimum of two years experience in water /wastewater field; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Class "D" Wastewater License • Class "C" Water License Preferred Oualifications: • Previous experience in the operation of a Class D Wastewater System and Class C Municipal water facility SASandy DocumentsTrnployeesVob Descriptions\Revisions\2011 \Water Wastewater Operator.doe Page 2
