OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE <br /> Dear Councilmen and Citizens of Pequot <br /> Lakes, <br /> ift <br /> °a' We are proud to share our 2016 Annual <br /> Report with you. This report provides <br /> {. � selected highlights of the many <br /> WE accomplishments, initiatives, and <br /> programs involving the dedicated men <br /> and women of the Pequot Lakes Police <br /> Department. This report also includes a <br /> statistical review of reported crime, <br /> calls for service, traffic data and <br /> crashes. <br /> Your police department is always <br /> striving to deliver excellent service and <br /> provide public safety to our community. <br /> Chief Kiang with Minnesota Wild hockey coach, The professional men and women that <br /> Bruce Boudreau, at the Minnesota Chiefs of make up the Pequot Lakes Police <br /> Police Foundation luncheon fundraiser at the Department work hard every day to <br /> Golden Valley Golf and Country Club make the Pequot Lakes area a safe place <br /> to live and play. Through our continued <br /> partnerships and shared responsibility with our citizens, we can continue to make <br /> significant strides in public safety. I am proud to say that by all accounts 2016 was a <br /> phenomenal year at the PLPD. <br /> We would like to thank the former Mayor Dave Sjoblad, former City Councilmen Greg Karr, <br /> along with the rest of the council and our community partners for their support. I also <br /> want to recognize our employees and Reserve officers for their hard work and sacrifices to <br /> keep our streets and neighborhoods safe every day. Together we will continue to improve <br /> the overall quality of life in Pequot Lakes. <br /> What this report cannot adequately portray is the enormous amount of work, ingenuity and <br /> determination that goes into carrying out our Problem Oriented Policing projects. This <br /> approach makes it easier for us to identify the problems in our community that are a drain <br /> on our resources and helps us to develop strategies to address them. Thank you to the <br /> Pequot Lakes area citizens for their unwavering support of this department.
