JOB EVALUATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br />6/28/2011 <br />Present: Mayor Adams, Clerk Sandy Peine, Finance Administrator Nancy <br />Malecha, Dave Sjoblad, Council Member, and Maintenance Supervisor <br />Mike Loven <br />The Job Evaluation Committee was requested by the Council to review the job <br />descriptions of the Water Wastewater Operator and the Public Works Supervisor, and the <br />points and pay scale for the Water Wastewater Operator. The actual Council motion <br />made at the June 21St Council meeting is as follows: <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO DEVELOP A PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, <br />WITH THE INTENT OF HIRING A WATERIWASTEWATER OPERATOR WITH <br />THE REQUIRED LICENSES AND TO REVIEW THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND <br />JOB POINTS FOR THE POSITIONS OF WATER/WASTEWATER OPERATOR <br />AND PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR AND TO PRESENT THE INFORMATION <br />TO THE COUNCIL AT THE JULY 5T" COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />Public Works Supervisor <br />`.. <br />The Committee noted that the Public Works Supervisor job description was <br />recently amended on December 7, 2010. Following a review of the description, it <br />was the consensus of the Committee to make no changes at this time. The <br />Committee reviewed the wage and is recommending a wage of $25.66 per hour <br />for the Public Works Supervisor. This is the same wage that Mike was making <br />when he left the position in January of 2011. <br />The Committee then decided to review the job points when the Committee <br />reviews all positions for job points, job descriptions, and pay ranges during the <br />budget process on July 7 th <br />Water Wastewater Operator <br />After reviewing the job description for the Water Wastewater Operator, the <br />Committee made several revisions to the description to reflect the actual job <br />duties which will include some of the Water Wastewater Manager's duties and <br />working with the Public Works Department. <br />The Committee decided to review the job points and pay range at the same time <br />cn <br />that it will be reviewing this information for all employees on July 7 <br />
